King Neptune

The certificate on the left is my proof that I had crossed the line on 23rd March 1980. I had in fact crossed the equator on La Primavera about 1 year before this but did not obtain the certificate until my crossing on the La Cordillera. It was considered bad luck to pre-date it so the present date was put on it. Because I had indeed crossed before, I escaped King Neptune's committee. Unfortunately Catering Boy Alan did not!
