Hello, David Thomas here and I warmly welcome you to my new-look website "La Hacienda and Other Stories", which is dedicated to the time I spent in the British Merchant Navy during the late 1970's and into the early 80's with Buries Markes. That's me above, the young Catering Boy on his first trip to sea on a ship called La Hacienda.
The site is packed with information and photos from my time at sea and I hope it stirs memories of what seems a bygone age, please feel free to contact me with your own tales or photos and I will gladly include them on the site.
